Delicious Poha Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flattened rice (poha)
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 1 finely chopped tomato
  • 1/2 cup green peas
  • 1/4 cup peanuts
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • Curry leaves and coriander for garnish
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash the poha: Rinse the flattened rice in water and set it aside to soften for about 5 minutes.
  2. Saute the spices: In a pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onions, curry leaves, and peanuts. Saute until onions are golden brown.
  3. Add vegetables: Add chopped tomatoes, green peas, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until the vegetables are tender.
  4. Mix with poha: Fluff the softened poha with a fork and add it to the pan. Mix everything gently until well combined.
  5. Garnish and serve: Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
  6. Enjoy: Serve your delicious poha with some lemon wedges on the side.
